Our November Employee of the Month is Jack Fisher! For his exceptional performance, he'll get a £50 voucher for a place of his choice, a commemorative mug and a social media shoutout!

Jack's nomination was full of praise for his success in a new role, saying:

"Overall, he is doing a great job in his new position and proving himself extremely valuable to multiple clients - but this is nothing new!"

We caught up with Jack to talk about his professional background, hobbies and his time as a Digital Marketer.

Could you tell us more about your role?

I head up the Paid Media team here at ClickThrough, where I work with our team of experts to ensure we're delivering excellent results and strategies for our clients.

What is your educational background, and how has this helped you in your career and current role?

I studied Interactive Media and Digital Marketing at University, which gave me the inspiration for my career. I've always had a numbers brain and hearing about how data can be used so effectively in Digital Marketing was the key for knowing this was the right path for me.

What were you doing before ClickThrough?

I worked as a Digital Marketing Executive in an agency closer to home in Manchester. During the two years there I learned about all Paid Media channels and how to effectively use them in a client's marketing strategies.

Tell us something you've gained from working at ClickThrough.

I've experienced many things I had never before, such as hosting webinars and delivering new business pitches, which have been so valuable and have helped my confidence grow massively in my role. I've also gained some friends for life, after spending four years here and hopefully many more, it has allowed me to make some really strong connections.

Tell us about something you do in your spare time.

I am a sport-maniac, if any kind of sport is on TV I'll be watching that or I'll be at the Etihad watching my team Manchester City.

Is there anything you've done as a hobby in the past that has helped your career?

I grew up playing football and being a captain of a football team for a few years. I believe that gave me some leadership/team skills that I've been able to carry forward throughout my career.

What advice would you give to someone looking for a career in Digital Marketing?

My advice would be to find yourself a passion, explore the many different avenues of work you could go down and find one that's right for you. Being passionate about your work goes a long way in improving your work-life-balance and your quality of work.

If you could have a specialism in marketing other than your own, what would it be?

I've always had an interest in graphic design and animation, but never quite took to it. I think that would be up there.

What three things would you say a Digital Marketer needs in 2024?

  1. An open mind, especially with the constant evolution of AI.
  2. A passion for delivering great results, or trying new things.
  3. A drive to constantly learn and develop your skills in new areas.

What are you planning on spending your voucher on?

I recently moved into a new flat, so I am planning on spending the voucher on some furniture or kitchenware!
