Our September Employee of the Month is Jennie Lindehoff! For her outstanding performance, she'll receive a £50 voucher for a brand of her choice, a commemorative mug, and all the love and admiration from her colleagues - although her nominations seem to show that that is already covered.
Here's what Jennie's nominators had to say:
"Jennie always makes time to help and bounce ideas around. She's been a consistent pillar of support for me this past year and has been remarkable in helping the team navigate challenges in the past few months. I know how much hard work she puts in, although sometimes it goes under the radar. So, here's a massive shoutout to recognise how brilliant she is!"
"Jennie works tirelessly to improve the working life of everyone around her."
We caught up with Jennie to talk about her professional background, hobbies and Digital Marketing.
Tell us about your role at ClickThrough in as few words as possible.
I'm in a new role, working to improve the processes we have in place and how we operate in the Strategy and Performance department. Alongside that, I also line manage a large pool of staff across different specialisms.
What is your background, and how has this helped you in your career, and current role?
I've been working in marketing for the last 12 years, but before then I worked as a Secondary School teacher. My teacher training and degree has proven very useful in managing and coaching people, and the organisational skills have come in handy too.
And what were you doing before you joined ClickThrough?
I joined ClickThrough four years ago. I worked at a large Digital Marketing agency before then.
Tell us something you've gained from working wiith us.
I've gained a lot working at ClickThrough - career opportunities I wouldn't have had with my previous employer. Since working here, my role has changed from being a Head of Department to now being Operations Lead. I have really grown, both personally and professionally.
Is there anything you've done as a hobby in the past that has helped your career?
I used to run a blog for a very long time, and that helped me get into Digital Marketing in the first place. Working with influencers I saw both sides of the coin, and the blog also gave me a good understanding of Organic Search and Social Media impact.
What three things would you say a Digital Marketer needs in 2025?
- Understanding of integrated strategy.
- Being able to utilise AI to your advantage.
- Understanding of customers and how to get in front of the right people.
If you could have a specialism in marketing other than your own, what would it be?
My specialism ended up being Digital PR. I think if I changed I'd like to be a specialist in both Organic and Paid Social.
Tell us about something you do in your spare time.
I like to keep active and lifting weights and running helps to keep me sane! If you follow me on social media, you'll find I have an interest in slow fashion and can often be spotted in charity shops.
What are you planning to spend your voucher on?
I haven't decided yet, I'm spoiled for choice! I'll most likely go with something I wouldn't usually splurge on with my own money - or something I really need but can't justify spending my own money on.
And finally, what advice would you give to someone looking for a career in Digital Marketing?
That is a good question! I'd say having a good understanding of consumer behaviour is a great place to start.
