Welcome Luke Tilston to the ClickThrough family! Luke will be joining us at ClickThrough marketing as our new SEO executive.

WHAT DOES YOUR ROLE AT CLICKTHROUGH INVOLVE?

My role at ClickThrough is to support in the creation and execution of SEO, Content and PR strategies in collaboration with the wider SEO team ensuring a high standard of service is provided to the client.

WHAT’S YOUR BACKGROUND?

Before I joined Clickthrough a large part of my time was spent at University, I've spent the last 4 years studying my Undergraduate and eventually my Masters degree in Economics and Marketing and in which I was delighted to obtain a Distinction and an award for the highest performer for my course (Humble brag sorry). This is officially my first proper job and although I haven't been here very long I'm super excited to be apart of the SEO team and look forward to the future!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR ROLE AT CLICKTHROUGH?

I love the data side of it all, having been introduced to platforms such as Brightedge and Google Analytics I like the different ways we can analyse data and how it can be used to inform client’s about how they can improve their business strategies and operations.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT CLICKTHROUGH AND ITS CULTURE?

I really like how friendly and helpful everyone is, since the day I started I’ve always had someone to help me if I needed it. I also like how there is a mixture of youth and experience in every department and its very clear there is a wealth of talent across the board.

IF YOU HADN’T GONE INTO MARKETING, WHAT WOULD YOUR OTHER CAREER OPTION BE?

This is quite a difficult one because I honestly don’t know, I think if I had liked programming a bit more during my A-levels I would have pursued a design or developer role, most likely in the video games industry.

IF YOU COULD TRADE PLACES WITH ANY OTHER PERSON FOR A WEEK, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

If were talking about real-life then it would have to be either Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos because I could probably send myself enough money to be set for life without it having too much impact on either of them. If we are talking Fictional characters then its Gandalf, no questions asked.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?

I would say I'm a bit of a 'nerd', I come from a family of video game developers so naturally one of my favourite hobbies is to sit at my computer and play video games whenever I get the chance (They get the blame for this). With that being said I also love sports and staying active, I try to go to the gym at least 5 times a week and I used to play all different kinds of sports quite regularly, this slowed down about due to the whole Covid situation but as things slowly start going back to normal I definitely want to start playing again. I've always loved science and technology, learning about new breakthroughs and developments in these fields especially if its related to Artificial intelligence or Quantum computing is so interesting to me.
