Welcome to the team Jordan Adams! Jordan has joined us in the role of Content Specialist, and will be delivering creative content in order to achieve the goals of our clients.
We spoke to Jordan to find out a little more about him!
I joined ClickThrough on 19/7/202.
To deliver creative, optimised copy for blogs, websites, email and social media.
I’ve been writing across several mediums for a little over a decade, having written comic books for several publishers, screenplays for various production companies, and non-fiction content for websites. I’ve also worked in film and TV production, occupying almost every role on set at some point. (Including acting. Which I am terrible at). I’ve worked in both the UK and the US on marketing videos for a range of clients. I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's in Creative Writing, the thesis for which focused on innovation in transmedia storytelling. I played in several bands in my 20s. But we don’t talk about that.
I love the creative freedom offered by my role. It’s hugely rewarding to simultaneously flex so many creative muscles, and there’s a genuine rush to blowing the embers of an idea into a fire.
It’s somewhat on cliché boulevard, but even at such an early stage it’s evident that ClickThrough functions as a family. Many companies say this, but few prove it. At ClickThrough, teams lift each other up, everyone is valued, and no-one is expected to carry a burden alone. Also, they sent fruit to my house.
Aside from my role at ClickThrough, I continue to work as a writer, writing comics, screenplays, and story-shaped things. I am the enemy of free time! I’ve also taught creative writing to young people, so if not at ClickThrough, I’d continue with that as I believe it’s vitally important that we prize creativity.
If I could trade places with anyone for a week, it’d be comic book writer Brian K Vaughan, as he is the finest writer in the land. I’d do nothing all day but bask in my own brilliance. Maybe peak at some of his (my) new scripts. A close second for body swap-age would have been David Bowie. Because he was a bona fide genius.
I’m a pop culture junkie, voraciously consuming comics, videogames, movies, novels, TV shows, and anything else story-shaped. I’m a lifelong fan of punk and alternative music. A passionate vegetarian. I have an on-off relationship with Arsenal Football Club. I am mildly addicted to rehydrated Ramen noodles. I play guitar to unwind – dreamier the better. I write comics. I fuel my days with an amount of caffeine that is best described as ‘reckless.’ Probably. I live with my wife and two daughters. Friends call us the Adams family. It’s fitting.
