Meet our August Employee of the Month - Beth Massey | ClickThrough Marketing

Our August Employee of the Month is Beth Massey - who is now a two time winner after picking up her first award in 2022. In return for her exemplary performance, she'll receive a £50 voucher for a brand of her choice, a commemorative mug and the continued love of her peers.

Her nomination this month was short and sweet:

"Beth is always contributing some brilliant stuff to the business!"

 We caught up with Content Specialist and Account Lead Beth on what's changed since her last Employee of the Month win. 

This is your second Employee of the Month award, and since then you've got married! What else has changed in the world of Beth since May 2022?

I can't say too much has changed, personally! Getting married was a biggie, and there's been a couple of job role changes. There's a house move on the horizon though!

What can you tell us about your role at ClickThrough?

My current role is a split between Content Specialist and Account Lead. My typical day to day means that I'm looking at a collection of different client strategies, working on various content deliverables, and working closely with my team on a number of projects simultaneously!

When you joined ClickThrough, you were a newbie to agency life - how would you describe yourself now?

Haggard? I'm just joking. In the three years I've been working at ClickThrough I've learnt an incredible amount about all channels and the marketing industry as a whole. With the ever-changing landscape, it can sometimes feel hard to keep up, but I like to think I give it my absolute best!

What advice would you give to someone just entering Digital Marketing?

Be open to learning about all channels - they all support one another - and the more you know about the different channels outside of your specialism, the better.

What is your background in, and how has this helped you in your current role?

I studied English Language, Marketing and Creative Writing at University, which has helped me out as a content writer, obviously!

What three things would you say a Content Marketer needs to have?

1) The ability to research and understand a variety of different industries and topics.

2) Creativity, to ensure you provide the information in an engaging way. 

3) Adaptability and a willingness to stay updated with new trends and technologies.

Tell us something you've gained from working at ClickThrough. 

The opportunities I've been afforded at ClickThrough have meant my confidence has gone from strength to strength. If you had told me three years ago that I'd be leading a team and working on over 10 clients simultaneously, I would have never believed you.

If you could change and work in any other specialism, which would it be?

Within the Digital Marketing industry, I'd go for a UX or CRO role, but if I had the ability to change industries I would absolutely train to be a midwife, they are incredible!

What are you planning to spend your voucher on?

IKEA! With a house move in the coming weeks I'm going to be buying all sorts of furniture, among all of the other crap you buy when you go to IKEA.
