Sitemap Search Engine Pinging
Each of the three major search engines (Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft’s Live Search) have announced joint support of Google’s sitemaps protocol. You can inform these search engines using the following urls and adding the url to your sitemap i.e. http://www.clickthrough-marketing.com/sitemap.xml.
- Ping Google: http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ping?sitemap=
- Ping Yahoo: http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/ping?sitemap=
- Microsoft Live: does not yet support sitemaps in reality.
- Ping Ask.com: http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=
